I need help with the PicoPSU

Post by PyGuy »

Since the TI card method is a little too much to take in at once, I think I might want to go back to using a picoPSU. I have
  • PicoPSU-120
    12v Battery (4200 mAh)
    Two 7.2v batteries (2 and 3 amps)
    Dreamcast (Duh!)
When I wire up the PicoPSU to the appropriate voltages and connect the battery to the white and black wires, I don't see any lights come on. I am using the 12v battery, by the way.

I don't know what's going on.
For any help, thanks in advance!

Last I checked, a PicoPSU is an ATX power supply. Try jumpering between pin 14 (PS_ON) and pin 15 (GND) on the connector that would normally go into a motherboard and see if that helps. I know you need to do that to use a standard ATX psu as a 12V bench supply.

So, connect a wire from PS_ON to GND? Sounds simple enough. I'll let you know if it works.
