No one at Modretro could find a solution for this so:
So I was going to disassemble and reassemble the psone screen because I gave up at making a portable. I'm selling all the parts for it (If someone is about to make one I can send you all the parts for it... ALL of them. Except N64 board because I broke that). So I disassembled the screen and reassembled it and it doesn't work. The screen is white, makes a beep, then just carries on with the audio, but the screen is still white. Yes I've checked the brown ribbon cable is IS IN THERE. The only other thing I might have done bad is when prying open the tan connector, one of the white plastic things broke off, but the ribbon cable is still securely in there.

did you do the anti glare mod? I did that, and the same thing happened.

Without having had a look at it myself, the source of the problem seems pretty obvious to me. can you press down on the broken ribbon with your finger and see if the picture comes back? I dont know where its located, that might be impossible....Mosquito wrote: one of the white plastic things broke off
