your probably looking at using a custom SNES controller for this, you'd need an 13 wire cord for this (one for each snes button plus one for ground) and wire the individual buttons to one another both sides. if you were clever, and didn't mind loosing GBA compatability, you could probably make it plug into the gba slot

Theres a guide on the net, on how to solder a controller to the pins of the ds lite filler cartridge that goes on the gba slot.

So you can have a controller that you can plug in, or unplug. So GBA function remains.

Heres for a NES controller. http://tinycartridge.com/post/57160232/ ... ller-input" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Theres guides on the net. I just searched "DS Lite Controller Cartridge" on google.

I did it with my DS Lite, and you will not be able to use GBA games. But I kept running into a problem, for the SNES controller to work I had to plug the controller into the SNES and the DS and turn on the SNES. If you manage to get it working without the SNES please tell me cause it kind of defeats the purpose of being portable.

Nick, if you follow the NES instructions from the video that I linked to, I think you can still use the GBA slot. As the guy in the video actually switches the cartridges.

No, if you read the instructions on his blog, he says that GBA games don't work, because you have to wire the buttons to the pins of the GBA slot. Also, I think the cartridge in there was just the DS Lite filler cart.
