Solar Powered GBC

Post by someone406173 »

I've been lurking around here for a while before I made this account, so hi everyone!

Anyways, here's the result of my first attempt into actual console modding/soldering. Did this mostly because I was inspired by the thread below, and I had an extra GBC to do this.

http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php ... ar&start=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I finished it about an hour ago after two hours of what could be considered as a hack job with soldering, and it looks like it's working so far (drained the batteries, and powers up for a few seconds after a few minutes of "charging").

:wtf:

Have you checked to see if it truly charges the batteries? You can usually squeeze a few more minutes out of "dead" batteries if you let them sit for a bit. Drain it and leave it in the sun all day, if you can play for at least 30 minutes, I would say it's charging correctly.
Congrats on finishing a project. 8)

Fail. :facepalm:

More on topic, I think this is pretty sweet 8) Yeah, if you can still put in or charge batteries (for indoor use) Then that would be champion! :wink:

Hey, this should be in the Handheld section, but, hey, whatever floats your boat.

Hey, a mod said it belongs here, because it does. So shut it.

Solar Panel is on the bottom of the handheld :facepalm: Would be cool if it was on the top and you could charge while playing.

I wouldn't exactly say that calls for a facepalm... but a solar panel that flips up would be really cool.
