Itouch clone

I bought an itouch clone just because. I might have made a mistake

It does come with radio, but no wifi. Does wifi use the same radio waves? Is there a way I could use this as a hotspot for my laptop?

Snowpenguin: as if you already didn't know...no. The reason I asked the question is because I was not sure. Bicostp: thanks, I didnt know there was that big a difference; didnt know GHz was in the equation.

as for running ubuntu MID on that, no way. its a standard "chinachip" mp3 player, which is basically a 20 something mhz arm processor, with some really lame DAC and GPU. and 32mb of ram, max. plus, its not open source.

does you clone work with your cell provider? I was unable to get mine to work with Verizon as they are CDMA not GSM

this particular clone is only an mp3 player. not a cell phone, so no.

No, it doesn't work with my phone service. I should have gotten the iphone clone, that would work with Tmobile.

Any "clone" hardware manufactured in China is almost guaranteed to be a pile of garbage and will most likely break 3 months after you buy it. Don't waste your time and money on them.
