Rechargable Battery Voltage Question

Post by Metal Mario »

Can a Retro Duo and the 3" DealExtreme screen run off of 4 rechargable AA batteries? I hear that the voltage is only 1.2 per NiMH AA, in totally only making 4.8v, and 6v for a DX screen is already pushing it a lot. Is this possible to do, and will it run? Or should I just go with a 5 AA battery holder to get 6 volts from the rechargables?

Just wanted to check before I make a purchase.

I think it's NiCD that is 1.2, and NiMH is 1.5. But even if that's true, the voltage will drop fairly quickly as the batteries are drained.

O_o
NiMH and NiCd are both 1.2v, alkalines are 1.5v.

Then I was wrong. :P But my point of dropping voltage still stands.

yo why dont you get like a li-ion bat? You get a high mAh bat with the right voltage you need. I find it better
