Tactile switches

Post by EmreNU »

Hey all,

I was going to order some tactile switches from Digikey and I found out there is a lead time of 1 month :( Is there anywhere else to get these, am I doing something wrong on Digikey that is prompting the lead time, or should I just suck it up?

Digikey tact switch part #: EG2495-ND (I was going to order 32)

I'd recommend searching http://mouser.com :)

I found lots of tact switches by taking various electronic appliances apart.
I found eleven of them in my wifes stereo, found four of them in my alarm clock radio! But, now I can't listen to music or wake up on time!

Are you making fun of the differentlly abled????? Or are you paying me a complement? R.E. Tarded rule 69, if you can't get what you need by regular means, try the R. E. Tarded way! By the way, I got my name from my father!

I find you name offensive, and I think you should change it.

Whatever dude! If you're offended....that's your problem not mine. As far as changing my name, let's make a deal. If you change your avatar and name, I'll change mine. But anyway, thanks for the input. I hope you aren't too offended by my reply. I'm just here to have fun, and learn. There are things that offend me too, but I don't really care unless it is disrupting me so much that I can't sleep at night. I hope that you can take a joke and that you aren't letting things on this forum disrupt your day or your life! But anyway, take care and best wishes! I have more important things to do than worry about the user names and avatars that are on this forum. Have a nice day sound wave!

I did have to change my name.

And as far as being offensive, its just immature to joke about something like mental retardation.

Then I'm immature and proud of it! That's why I love video games!

I just found this out too. Maybe everybody ordered them all for my book! (I can only hope)

I ordered these as alternate and they're fine:

Digi-key Part #: EG2494-ND

I think they're even a bit cheaper! The actuator post (the button) isn't as tall, but if worse came to worse you could put a little dab of hot glue under the trigger/control disc to help push it.

I'll post this to the Book forum as well.

I don't remember if it was tact switches, but I remember there was one thing you can take out of an old VCR.
