Amiga cd32 info

Post by misjah »

Any info about this console? I`m planning to buy only console for small amount of moneys... I read that megadrive joypads are compatibile and old c64 and amiga jpoysticks.... what about cdr, does it need some modification like chip for reading, any special recording procedure (like for Dreamcast).... can I hook it up to PC (like amiga 500 via null modem cable)....
Any info is appreciated, thanx.

Megadrive,C64 or most old pads/sticks with the right plug will work for some games but a lot will need the extra buttons on the CD32 pad. No mod needed for cdr, you can even make your own. Burning is only a problem if you get pirate rips with seperate mp3 tracks. I believe you will need the expensive SX32 add-on for PC link (or theres maybe a mod?or am I wrong?), it also has floppy and other ports. There are loads of good Amiga sites, better to search with Google than wait for answers here.

Ive been looking for info on this system as well. Best to burn the games on the slowest speed you can. My system plays games on one of my tele's but not the other. The screen shift is very annoying and I should have just bought an Amiga PC for the games. I love the controller but need more info. google isnt to great on the subject as it just brings you to the FAQ sheet for it which I have read over and over again.
