Suggestions for a TI-83 mod

Post by xantufrog »

I've got a non-functioning TI-83 Plus. It's a shame, it was a nice calc, I think its memory became corrupted when the backup battery died (TI claims that can happen?). If anyone knows the scoop on that, BTW, or has a repair suggestion, I'm open.

But if not, what sort of things can fit within its case? I've seen the gameboy topics on this, I'm tempted. Anyone else know what the case could be used for?

Does anyone know if the screen is worth using for anything?

Sorry for the broad topic, but it never crossed my mind to use it for a mod until I rediscovered it today.
Thanks!

Yup, batteries die, you get copulate.

Put a gbc in it, frontlight that female of the dog species, do an amp mod, put an overclocking switch on it, and a rechargable battery on it. My dream project, but it never ever goes anywhere.

Put a cellphone in it so you can stealthily text in class.
