RC batteries generally have very poor battery life.

You can use DVD player batteries, does the actual battery pack have a charge port on it?

Go to your local RadioShack and get yourself some of these: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2147160" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Much less chance of you blowing yourself up and they work great.

First of all, just buy one. I am pretty sure it will give you a little less than 3 hours if you are using it on a SNES, AND you have the LED mod ready, otherwise it might be about 1.75 hours. And i think there might be a Smart charger... Hmmm... Ahhh... Here it is, http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2062121" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; here is a combo pack, so you could use the charger, but i think you would have to unplug the battery to charge it, if that's OK, i would get it, sorry about the charger. :? (PS: I'm 13 too!)

What. :?

Well for their size anyway, they're normal ni-cd which have a much lower charge density that li0on batteries found in portable dvd players.

One would use a NiMH battery charger, also available at RadioShack.

If you get tight for space inside your portable, the Sony Infolithium L batteries would work great. It would mount on the outside of the portable, so you would need room for that. The type L's are 7.2v, and they're Li-Ion. You need an external charger to charge them, but you can usually get a battery/charger combo. It also greatly reduces the risk of batteries exploding in your portable. :wink:
