Pepsi / Mountain Dew Throwback: BUY SOME NAOUGHW!

Post by bicostp »

Ok I got a bottle of that new Mountain Dew Throwback today at the grocery store.

Best. Dew. Ever.

They used an old recipe that uses real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, and slapped the 70s/80s logo on the bottle. It does taste a little different from the HFCS version; it's not as 'sharp' and you get a more lemon-y aftertaste. (For those of you who care, it probably has fewer preservatives too.)

Unfortunately, Pepsi intended for it to be an 8 week limited production run. However, there's an official "we'll see" if there's enough interest.

I recommend everyone go buy at least a bottle of this stuff and try it. 8) Encourage Pepsico to continue making this great stuff past their initial cutoff date. try the Pepsi Throwback one, too. (I still prefer Coke Classic.)

I'm a Mountain Dew fanatic, a caffiend, if you will. :D I tried the stuff - it's OK, especially for variety, but I like the "bite" the regular stuff has. That said, as long as they are making the Throwback stuff, I'll drink it now and again.

I drink mainly water and not-from-concentrate fruit juices.

The third largest ingredient of Mountain Dew is orange juice.

No, I don't like drinking crushed spiders. However red grape juice and wine and such have that chemical that makes you live longer. Sooo I might get in to it. Mostly Apple Cider and fruit juice mixes (yummy stuff, with like banana and peach puree and everything inside).

I am a Vault person, myself. I've never liked Dew or Pepsi.

Or beer. I think about 60% of what I drink in a day is beer.

over here in TX its 99 cents for the reg bottles and 1.25 for the big ones... thats not including tax... here all pepsi products are hella cheaper than coca-cola products...

get (2) 12 packs of pepsi product for 7.00 at a gas station compared to (1) 12 pack of coca-cola product for 6.50 at a gas station

pepsi is way smarter and have all my fav drinks...

Pop is actually relatively cheap here. It's about the only thing that's cheap, lol.

I don't think you can get it in canada. Would someone like to ship me a bottle :P
