My first project...(DCp)

Post by cocoahoopz »

Hey guys! I've been hearing about Ben Heck and the wonders he can do and stumbled onto these forums. After reading up a bit I've decided to undertake my own project. And what better system than the good ole Dreamcast :D. I've done my research and am waiting on a 7808 and pico PSU. Currently I'm hunting for a power source. I've seen quite a few portables here and I must say you guys do amazing work . Down below is a pic of what I have done.

Yea it's a mess I know. I'm just a messy person.

The brand is called InterAct. It's a 5" generic PS1 screen. I have an actual Sony one stored elsewhere and am using this one for my first go. It's nowhere near the quality of the Sony screen but it gets the job done. It's kinda bulky but that is not an issue for me now. The right speaker is dead but hey its generic.

I'd practice messin' around on that piece of crap screen, but i'd never use it.
You'd be better off using your psone screen in your final portable.

Looks as if you have a revision 2 board. I got lucky and ended up having one for my DCP as well. Its nice since you don't have the GD-Rom board to relocate and mess with.
