anyhow
for my hnc games development i have been put in a team with 3 other people.
out task, create a 3 level game, anything we wish, and paperwork to follow.
Well i decided i was taking the team leader role, well kind of
well i decided we were making a third person shooter, called college carnage, based in our college (james watt college kilwinning campus)
well basicly the janitor locks up the college on a friday afternoon, locking all students and lecturers in, then from a remote he releases a toxic gass throught the venting system, infecting everyone inside, turning them into mindless zombies, well the liveing dead, same thing. 4 comp techies were called to come in for a saturday job, they arive let them self in with a key from a side door, unrelizing they have left the key in the door, making there way to the top floor they encounter no one, once in the room there is a scratch on the door, looking throught the window and relizing what they have say then decide one will go look for a way to get the the next level safely and he leaves the group, at the center stairway you will have to fight a boss, being a lecturer. Once u win u drop a level in the college getting closer to getting out, u play as 3 characters for the 3 levels, and the 4th becomes infected and u have to fight him to complete the game and leave the building. Could u kill a colleague to save 2 others and ur own liffe ???
anyhow well exzageration there, we started making the game, 2 people in my group are experts with 3ds, great modelers, i havent recieved any of there work yet but from what we did first simester it was awsome, i have been choosen to do the programming, we decided dark basic.
Dark basic pro to be procice, so far i have a basic menu, havent done anythig much yet, but is there anyone who knows darkbasic who i could ask for pointers.
I know this should be in the db forums but i thought hey there are some talented people here.
Anyhow ill keep u posted on my progress, ill have some pics, of the menu and my company logo, video cube
