Joytech 8" Help

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Post by Dja_Mouka »

Hi , In first I'm sorry I speak a very bad english , I will do the best I can....

So , I have this screen :

I want to plug a component wire in the board but I don't find where I must solder my wire , I test on the RGB pin but no result.
The screen Work fine but in composite , and I want a best result with YUV , and I know I can plug VGA in this screen cause joytech sell this thing for the screen:

LINK

On the rear of the screen there're 2 input one for the PS2 TV Tuner ( // port ) and the other for a PS2 AV

When I solder my composite wire in AV input from // port there's no signal to the screen while if i solder the composite wire on the AV input from PS2 port the signal is good.....
So I think the Tv tuner give a signal to the screen PCB to open VGA port or other , but how I can do to open this input withou the TV tuner ?
here the PCB :

On the two pic :
the yellow selection is for PS2 AV input (9 / 6 / 7 )
and blue selection are for TV tuner input ( 8 / 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 )

thank for the futur answer , and sorry for my english

Location 2 is for VGA I believe. I think you need to use 1 for YUV.
