heatsinks ans Fans..
Do all the N64 portables have to have Heatsinks and Fans??

heatsinks YES fans not nessisarily it would stay cooler with a fan tho

You could omit heat sinks if you want a convenient hot water bottle-thing.
What about using those... oh, what are they called? The things you put electricity into and one side gets cold and the other hot...
Anyways, for a chip near the surface of the case that would keep it plenty cool.

Peltier element? I wouldn't advise it - if the cold side gets too cold it can easily go to sub-zero temperatures (means condensation will start forming and you don't want that with your electronics).
