What's your favorite gaming System/game and why?

Post by KittensAndBunnies »

Hmn. This is just purely out of curiosity. Of course, it will also give everyone bragging rights if they own a rare system or a totally awesome game. Also, I'm going to see what sort of systems and games I should get by everyone's descriptions.

It is not junk! It is assorted goods with no current use.

or ME. jeesh. plus, don't ask triton about OoT, he hasn't beaten it, yet. lol

since i know you have a ps2 i'd suggest maybe a final fantasy game.

as for systems i'd choose the n64. goldeneye, donkey kong 64, and zelda: OoT are some suggestions.

and remember, burnout is awesome, too. ^^

I dunno really the N64 is so great Oot and Smash bros are both some of my favorite games, cant forget starfox64 either

but I would have to say the SNES and Chronotrigger,
not only CT but Secret of Mana, Starfox, SMRPG, megaman X, the SNES just was just so female of the dog species' :P

N64. Many of us grew up with this system, even if it wasn't our first. OoT, Smash bros, Mario 64, Starfox 64... so many great 64-bit games. And since they're cartridges, they'll outlast the likes of PS1 and maybe even many PS2 games, as the CDs can get scratched and the lasers that read them die out after a few years. Not to mention it could survive the Angry German Kid.
Hey, sup?

wat?

I'll always be a PC gamer first and a console gamer second, but I do enjoy the PS3 quite a bit. I'm currently playing Civilization 4 on the PC and FFXII on PS3.

Finally, someone with some sense! :P The N64 is cool, but it pales in comparison to the greatness of SNES. A Link to the Past is better than OoT in every way, RPGs are everywhere (which is good for you, I know you like anime), and it has the best side-scrollers on any system ever. The game library is so massive, you'll be playing for years to come.

Some Must-Plays:
CHRONO TRIGGER!!!!!!!!! :D
Terranigma (VERY rare and pricey, but excellent)
Final Fantasy VI (III in America)
Final Fantasy IV (II in America)
Breath of Fire series
Mega Man X Series
ActRaiser
Kirby Super Star
TMNT 4
Secret of Mana
Super Mario World
Yoshi's Island
Super Metroid

...and that's just a FRACTION of what you have to look at!

N64, I never was a RPG type of guy, Super Mario RPG and the Paper Mario games are the only Turn based RPGs I can stand.

I don't care if the game has a epic story, if it bores me to death, forget it.

Hmmm, I attack, enemy attacks, Use magic, enemy attacks, I heal or attack again. That is so freakin' boring.

I could only stand the Mario RPGs because they were quirky, funny, and the fact that I have known and been playing Mario games since I was 3 kinda helps.

RTS, MMOs, FPS? bah! if I want to play a FPS, I would go out an buy a 360. (Mouse and Keyboard just feel foreign to me, I much prefer the Dual Analogs.)
