interfernce?

I have my screen working but when my wii does something different (like ill click on a channel) the screen will shake and become disorderd, also when i have a dark screen i lose color. any help? ill try to pst a vid here in a little.

EDIT: here is a video

40secs in you can see the weather channel shake some. i wasnt able to record the shaking when it does it bad, some reason it didnt want to do it when i want it to

I noticed that 'AudioVox' was the brand of the screen, is this a bare screen, or is it attached to a DVD player? If it attached to a DVD player, that is the most likely culprit for the interference.

Spell check + Grammar check = legible post. You can do this without newfangled tools too, if you're old school like that.

Now that I've decoded what you've said, here's my solution:

1) Stop shaking the screen!!! It's hard to tell where the shaking on the screen is if you're holding the screen in the air with one hand and filming with the other.

2) If the glitch on the weather channel was your so-called shaking, you may have a loose video connection. What connection are you using? Composite? Check your connections, and your grounds too. Make sure nothing is about to pop off. To me it looks like a wire is barely clinging on for dear life.

3) If re-soldering your wires doesn't do anything, try adding some decoupling capacitors to your power lines. You may try adding some to your video lines, but frankly, I'm not sure what it would do to the signal. It would be 100% reversible (I think) if you try this.

4) Are you running off wall or battery power?

i had the camera on a platform, not my hand.

Its not a glitch in the weather channel, the screen will do that when it recieves new infromation (i think) the wires are secure.

Its getting its power form the wall.

do you think it could be doing this cause the wire signals (im useing yuma and croma) could be interfearing with one another?

Ill make a better video.

also so i dont have to make a new topic, my wii likes to over heat now, i have the folded heatsink with heatsink compound on the chips. do i need more artic silver or should i put a fan on the heatsink, maybe remove the hinksink completely and put a fan on the chips? I could make it water cooled.

I would fix up that power, try some caps, or use a battry pack. Wall warts are awfull normallly.

Bad idea, that heatsink being there, pending you haven't insulated it, will have more surface area an thus cool it far more. Pulling off the heatsink, even with running fans directly on the chips, will fry the chips.

Most likely the trouble you're encountering is the heatsinks aren't installed correctly (perhaps too much artic silver) or you've bent the fins too far and the fins are touching (less surface area = less heat dissipation = more heat building up).

i think i might make my own heatsink then put a fan on or beside it.

How exactly? I don't see any easy way. Altrhough you are aiming for the most surface area as possible.
