Consoles You Wish Were Portable

Post by Charlie »

Which consoles do you wish you could take with you? Personally I'd love to have a way to play Virtura Cop or Astal on a plane. (Sega Saturn)

What about you?

I'd say Dreamcast, Neo Geo or Atari 8-bit computer. They'd be nice portable. My definition of portable involves storage in pockets, so original hardware and storage media is out on them.

I've always dreamed of a truly portable (and affordable) PC, with windows, emulators, and all that. Portable for me is... maybe four times the volume of a GBO, with runtime greater than three hours.

Maybe with a pico-ITX...

Are those games confirmed releases or were/are they going to be released by Good Deal Games?

That's what GDG does is aquire code from existing games and finish the project

Why not just a single octo core? Much greater performance due to being in one bus and all...
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

The Mac Mini... the problem with that is the size of its internals. Adding 3 hours worth of batteries and a screen would yeild a large, heavy (not)portable. Even removing the optical drive wouldn't reduce the size sufficiently.

The Mac Mini would also cost a bit more than a pico-ITX computer.

I also hate Steve Jobs and his constant verbal diarrhea.
