Prom
Well my GF's dad is a cop and i was afraid that he wouldn't let me take her to prom. Well I finally got the nerves to call him and he said I could take her. Anyone else going to prom this year? Is it ok for a geek such as me to go to prom? Disscuss

Ahh, prom. THe time in every young adult's life that they spend about 1.5k on clothes so they can impress their future mating partner and just act like an ass in general.
HOnestly, is your girlfriend geeky? well, if she is, plan a geeky schedule up to prom.
(and just between you and me, i thought you said pr0n.0_o)

Geek? I was one of the geekiest in my grade, and I went, with an older chick to boot (she'd graduated the year before). We were just friends though, unfortunately
Just get a table with a few of your friends and you'll have a good time. And hope they serve Baked Alaska for dessert (yum!). Bonus points if it's on fire when they bring it out.

Same here, except everyone thinks I'm retarded. Probably because of the speech impedimacy I'm stricken with. Also, the lack of caring how I look.vb_master wrote:Ours is tomorrow.
No I am not going, because everyone hates me and I also can care less.

Personally, I dropped out before my prom took place (well, what would hve been my prom.... my lack of giving a damn about school set me two years back, which is the main reason I ended up dropping out). However, I really regret going anyway, as in my mind that's just one of those sentimental milestones in life that you'll regret missing forever, but I'm a fool for sentiment so maybe it's just me. Anyway, make it a night that you'll WANT to remember for the rest of your life, something special beyond special. Memories are a wonderful thing to have, to reflect upon. Be yourself and have fun. Remember that this will be one of her memories too, and make it a special time for her as well.
Also, I thought you said pr0n too.... That's what made me click the topic

Don't get in a wreck or get pulled over, no one will ever know.Triton wrote:anyone got tips for CHEAP insurance? lol
I'm only a sophomore, I have better things to spend my limited money on, I don't have my license yet, and I didn't know who to take. Thats why I'm not going, I might next year, hopefully for sure my senior year, not that it really matters. A senior girl asked me if I was going, and it almost seemed like she wanted me to ask her, I'll hate my life if she did want me to ask her, but its too late now, so oh well.

fortunatly i didnt get a ticket for it but sucked nonetheless, thats what caused the aformentioned broken collarbone, the fact that i am an 18 year old male is part of the reason insurance is so much >.> i need to shop around some this weekend
