peculiar led behavior.

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

peculiar led behavior.

Post by jeffslot »

Hi guys, I'll try to describe this as best i can. I inadvertantly had my + 7.5 connected to the +5 volts on the back of my psone.

The reason I didn't notice right away was that the LED's were on (nice & brightly). Once I noticed the issue & fixed it by hooking up the +7.5 to the right spot the Led's were on once again, but no where near as brightly (a bit too dim for a 4 led mod).

Any ideas? Thanks.

Well when you overload an LED, it starts to burn. I think you're in the buffer region between completely fried and functioning. It is possible once the material cooled down it might get brighter. However, in all honesty, the LEDs are gone. Cheaper to go buy new ones (allelectronics.com sells them for 0.10 each, but order in bulk cause minimum shipping cost is $7)

I'd love to see pics of this though lol. One of those rare situations ya know?
You say it can't be done. I'll damn well show you it can...

Just may not be cheap. Or practical.
