3000 members - time to rejoice!

Post by Skyone »

I'm sure many of us remember when the 1337th member joined, and we all celebrated. In all reality, I think that reaching 3000 members is a lot more exciting! Though a bulk of that number is taken up by member's with no posts, or perhaps spambots, it goes to show you how successful this site has been.

Not only has talent been discovered through benheck.com, I'm sure many people have formed friendships with other members (I know I have).

Although there has been great times here, there have also been bad times. We've had a number of bad eggs come in and spoil the clean fun, and I'm sure all of us have made mistakes - I know we all have regrets.

That's what this thread's about, really - confessions! Post at least one thing you regret about your stay here at the forums, whether it's on a personal level between another member, or perhaps something you didn't get around to doing (like a portable - cough).

I'll start us off, I regret being harsh on a few members, and plan on working on it. I also regret not having more initiative on some projects *looks around room.*

Hopefully I'm not the only one with a few problems, that would be embarrassing. :P

The four things I regret are
1:Not posting much
2:Not having an avatar
3:Not fixing my banner
4:Not making anything really, I start lots of things, but never finish them...

Well, it's been a good time here. I've learned a lot, made some friends (and enemies, I presume) and it's been fun. My biggest regret, though would probably be... meeting you, Sky.

But in all seriousness, my biggest regret would be the timeliness of which I finish my mods (too long XD ) and the quality of the cases. I had a nice little case mod with a SNES, and a nice bondo job on a WIP NESp that you have all yet to see, but other than that, my portables are all pretty damn ugly. :P I'm hoping to change BOTH of those problems with this upcoming Wii portable.

My biggest regret eh?

That would be getting banned, but that's all fixed now ;)

Hmm, also I regret not knowing much about batteries. (Woot, That should be fixed soon.)

Hm.... Regrets.... Well when I came here, I was one of those people that you all seem to dislike, the ones that expected to buy portables for ~$50. Though it never seemed like I was blacklisted as a noob moron, the first time I saw what portables were really selling for I felt pretty damn stupid.

However, I've since seen all the work put into them and I know better. I mean if you want to sell me one for $50 that's great, but I don't expect it.

Having 3000 members is great and all, but how many of them are actually active? I actually found a site where somebody posted up a benheck login for "everyone to use" So it just goes to show, we may have 3000 members, but not all of them are doing much of anything.

Regrets?
1. I'm too lazy to fix up my avatar.
2. I don't even started working on my portable. '-_- I don't have a cash for now. x/
3. I don't post too much on the forums.
Honestly? All my projects are far from being somewhat done...

My regret(s)?

Letting down the user x24 in a trading post deal. I sent it, but he never recieved it :(
Destroying electonic stuff accidently
Giving birth to what was the final flame war of sam fisher(wait...thats good!)
Making a few enemies(I think)
annoying vb a little

My positives:
NIBLET
My X64
Meeting krepticor and Rototiller (other portablizers in my state)
Keeping an excellent trading post record!
