will this screen work for my n64 portable

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

it says "composite video ready" does this mean i can just hook it straight to the red/white/yellow wires coming off of the video out wire on my n64? any help on another cheap screen would be appreciated if this doesnt work.

The issue is that you will be able to hook it up, however the unit is in fact quite bulky. Great for projects, but very bulky and not exactly practical for a portable. But there is very little info out there, not even listed on the Sharp Electronics website. Still though could be used, yes.
You say it can't be done. I'll damn well show you it can...

Just may not be cheap. Or practical.

Screen Rule #1: If you can find one, use a PSOne LCD screen.
