Say it isn't so!

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Has anyone else noticed the shortages of Hip Gear and PS1 screens? Ebay is short, and Amazon charges $90. Is there anywhere else I can get ahold of these?

Hmm... I guess we'll have to use other screens then.

AEI Components has some nice, albiet expensive, screens. And there's always the new PStwo, Xbox, and Gamecube screens.

Zenith Screens are still abundant on Ebay. They are PSone screens in a different cover.

AKA this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0091328150

If you do a search for zenith and then narrow it to the video games section there are quite a few around $50 and this one ^^ at $30 and $8 shipping :).

Cool, except I already bought a couple of Audiovox portable DVD's for ~$70 total, at least I get some small DVD players when I pull off the screens.

How do the AEI screens compare to Hip Gear and PSOne/zeneith screens quality-wise?
