Is this screen good?- new screen added-help a newbie out

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

The firstr one has RCA input, the second one has composite.

I don't think the first one will work, but the second one will, but the shipping looks a tad high (although I'm viewing shipping to Canada)

Composite and RCA are the same thing....well technically composite is the type of signal and RCA is a type of connector, but I'd say that 99 times out of 100 if a screen has "RCA" input then it accepts composite video. Now if it had component input you'd be in a little different situation, but most systems can be made to output video in several modes. IMHO either of those would be fine.

That doesn't look like a good screen at all. It is gigantic for the screen size it's using, it only takes composite, and it needs 12v. Maybe there's a voltage reg in there or maybe not. It probably needs the 12v to power the cathode lighting. Definitely not a good screen for a portable IMO.

Go there. Read it all. At the end is a list. But read it all anyways.
