Make a directory called "ROMS" in the same folder as the SquidgeSNES .gpe executable.

I've heard of a way to have one ROMs folder in the root of the SD card, but I'm not familiar with that technique.

for some emulators there is a set roms directory, some you can change the default in an INF file but others you do have to write a script to have a root roms directory. and if the "no you havent" was about having had it longer than any member of benheck? I beg to differ! I preordered mine october of last year and got one of the initial batch in early november, one of the first few thousand sold, first edition baby!

good to hear you've made your choice. triton's right, read the readme.
but to amplify the importance of it, read the readme at least 3x before you go out to the gp2x forums for help. They're generally very friendly people on those forums, but you'll just feel stupid when their answers come straight from the readme.
remember that gp2x has no program standards at all. programs are coded in a variety of ways. generally they start out being rather quickly thrown together, and clean themselves up a little later on. If you are on the bleeding edge of gp2x, you will have to follow the readmes just that much more carefully, and hope that they're complete. Remember that you knew this when you bought a 2x, and it will keep you from getting angry at it--at least for a good bit.
it's a great system, I hope you have a better time with it than I did. I just wound up feeling that it was more trouble than it was worth after a few months. that's not to say I won't go back when the scene comes of age.

www.gp2xstore.com is run by the old owner of www.gp32z.com, and his service rocks.
