PSOne mods! Pics!

Post by riva16 »

Ok, since I quit my portable project, and decided to rebuild the whole system from practically scratch, I've doen a efw mods on the way too.
1. Replaced green LED with bright blue
2. installed 6 wire stealth mod chip
3. Mounted RCA jacks on the right side for video "IN"
4. Added a whole bunch of PS logos around the system. The system originally comes with a log ont he LCD top and PSOne lid. I added a logo tot he front in between controller ports, a logo where the grey one is when the LCD screen is flipped up, and a logo int he CD bay by the laser. I have 5 logos instead of 2.
Here's pics...

Right-click, save as to view. I know it sucks but hey, it works.

That RCA video in mod sounds really cool. If you get the chance could you write a howto for it. I have two and the one I dont portablize I'd like to have a hook up thats easy.

I think he just jumped the a/v from the mini jack on the lcd to the a/v on the ps a/v jack in the lcd. Then he just wired the jacks to the corresponding parts of the psone jack.

Yeah, i trie dusing the PSone boards AV Out, but it didn't work. In theory, it should have. So, i just soldered the wire tot he RCA jacks pins, and lead them throught he small gap between AV out intot he PSone LCD case, and soldered them to the correct points on the AV "in". Fairly simple. The hardest part was getting the whole thing back together without the wimpy 30 AWG Kynar wire breaking. I got it though. Link all the RCA grounds together, and ground onthe Psone motherboard, not all the way back into the LCD. Just a waste of time and wire and frustration!

This thread is two months old...

He put composite-in (RCA) jacks into the playstation. Those're the yellow-white-red plugs you use to hook up consoles, DVD players, etc. etc. With those composite-in plugs, he was able to plug in a gamecube, and have it play off of the PSone screen.

Thats becuase I'm a God!!! :D Haven't you people figured this out yet? Just playing. Yes, thats all i did. I tried using the PSoen AV Out instead of runnign wire from rCAs tot he aV in jack ont he LCD, but it wouldn't work for some reason. I could've swore I had it work for my semi-portable multimedia station... IF you've never seen that, don't ask...
