cd laser will not work

the disc reader for my psone will not work, but the tricky part is, its not the laser, i switched the laser that i thought was broken and put it in another wrking psone, and to my surprize the laser work perfectly, so i need to find out what could be causing the laser to not get th power to run the motor or the laser, the psone works and turn oun and everything, but the laser will not move. anyone have any ideas?

Is it a rev 2 or 1?
