How to Charge my batteries?

Hey all
I have been working on my N64p for about a week now and about to get to the power . My question is I am using 2 - 6v 1.5 amp rechargeable rc car batteries I got from work and I am not sure if I can use the charger that it came with. The charger is for 1 - 6v 1.5 amp rc car battery. I have both batteries hooked together to give me 12v, will the 6v charger charge the new 12v battery I have made?

i dont know if it would work and if i doesnt u could try charging it with a car battery recharger because car batteries are 12 volts since they are not car batteries it might over heat the batteries though so be careful cuz ive never tried it

umm......yeah.....

Anyways, no, the charger won't work. It's made for a 6V battery pack and you'd be using a 12V battery pack. You could replace the n64's 7805 with an ldo regulator and then just wire the 2 6V battery packs in parallel though, in which case you could use that charger.

I am not sure how to do all that, and I dont think I would wanna do something that I dont know how to do...I am good at computers but I dont anything about regulators and stuff like that.

Is there anything else I can use like a 12VDC 500mA or a 12VDC 1500mA power adapter.

Uh I'd just use any old 12v (any MAH) WALL WART
