Today in a chat session with Dan, one of the creative minds behind Nitro, there was an official announcement of a release date.

"I guarantee that you will be enjoying your Nintendo DS online within 10-12 days, if everything falls into plan. Due to the fact that Brandon made an estimate too rough, we have decided to use generic tunneling for the initial build. After it is released, we may add the advanced optimization mentioned in the semi-depreciated plan documents. One week is not enough time to test and code our optimization, and releasing a build that will tunnel will give us enough time to shape it's perfection.

oh yeah and nntendo ds might have a headset avaible with it sometime because beside the headphone slot there is a square slot and on the left of that there is a picture of a headset! i dont know why you wouldnt use the mic. but i will prefer a headset...

no actually i think it is just headphones because since when has psp had any plans to go online??

Since sony announced the PSP

. Why would they have incorporated in wi-fi if they weren't going online? Hardware wise both the PSP and DS connect to the net the same way, I think. Just different proprietary standards standereds are used for system link.

Man the PSP has a lot of misinformation going out like-
it costs $400

not really $150-$200 release price
it wont go online you will be able to surf the web and chat
Battery Life Sucks 6-8 hours when are you gonna play a handheld for more than that at a time my cell phone gets worse bnattery life. And the PSP battery is swabapble with a fresh one if one dies

kikizo.com says battery lifes only 5-6 hours for the psp...they also say it is region free except for you cant play movies from japan on a american psp and the other way around while liksang.com says its region free and didnt mention that witch website is right? and are you going to get the psp from japan that comes out in a couple weeks or are you gonna get the american one that comes out next march?

are you sure that the price will be $150-$200 becuase on a website called ferrago it said that it was confirmed to be at $450 and all the nice hardware that they have in it isnt cheap so im pretty sure it will be at least $300
