testing

Post by electronically_challenged »

When you are building your portable system, How do you know when to test it and what to test for?

I started building the playstation one and I got to the part where you first turn it on before you connect the controller board, and mine really didn't do anything and I didn't know what was wrong with it. I believe I did all of the wiring correctly.

Any suggestions?

first run it off batteries on a T-V
then hook up the screen and run it off batteries and check it again
, do all the other crap next like add the controllor and charging circuit.. etc

and to test yours try using a multimeter to check for voltage going to the psone and the screen first
when life gives you lemons make flux

Thanks :) I'll try that out. Be prepared though, because I'm bound to have a heck of a lot more stupid questions to throw at you :?
