I really doubt thats real, I mean, you could buy a mans freedom for the day and have him 'death match' someone at the store for cheaper.

Yeah but in a few years they all will go down in price. Of course it's a vicious cycle though. People chuck out $300-400 for a new system that will in 2-3 years will be worth half that.

... Your offically an idiot! The 360 has a 3 core PPC with an ATI hi-def graphics north bridge.... The Xbox is a PIII with an 'NVidia GeForce 4 graphics chip. Exactly how are they the same inside?
what do you expect it sounds like Kade is a Sony Fanboy and he is mad the Xbox has higher proscessing power then his precious PS2

Maybe I could ask for a GameCube, I've wanted one for awhile. Want to play Zelda, that and I could later portablize it.

360 is good even though I AM a Sony Fanboy. But I think Microsoft did have a chance to up the ante on the thing slightly. Only if they didn't rush so much and took time like Gamecube. Saw Dreamcast...and I'm heartbroken.

No, but they can have greater resources. Some systems currently have gigabytes of RAM that can hold the inefficient code just fine. With roughly equal excecution and better system resources, the high end gamers' PC can likely handle it, especially once higher end systems come out, as they often do.

Also, the life of a PC is often considered less than the life of a game system.

Most people, if able, would not settle for a 733MHz PC in this day and age for gaming, but the XBox is still around. Normally, this isn't a consideration in game systems, as processor power in consoles almost always lags behind the mainstream market(until this new generation at least), but since the XBox is a 6x86 device, it somewhat puts things in perspective.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

I think it's the fact of simplicity, that all you do is just put in a CD/cartridge, and you'll have the best fun in the world. :D
