2hr till the next gen

I've been through that whole early rush to get the new cosoles. Did it with the N64 and the PS2. I 'm not planning to sit in the cold for * hours to get something I wont really play that much. I'll get it when they have enough for everyone and I can casually walk into a store and buy one.

Besides I dont have the money to drop on any of the three at this moment.

360 isnt really next gen, since the ps3 has cell processor,

ps3 w/ cell processor= 10 times better than X-box 360 (Graphic wise)

Hotdog-Cart, we dont need fanboys starting this now. Evaluate each console on its own terms! And the 360 is considered next-gen because its a step forward is power and graphics, END OF DISCUSSION!

i would not be saying that the 360 is nex gen. it is pretty much just a xbox in a new case.

no, xbox IS next-gen.....next-gen means the "next generation" and it is the first major videogame console after the Xbox (meaning it's the next generation!!)...as long as it's an actual new console (which it is, don't say it's exactly like the xbox) then it's next gen.

I agree with Sparkfist, though. I really don't want one that much, but perhaps when they're more available I'll pick one up (that is, if I have the money, of course

).

got my 360 this morning at 12:13 a.m. waited in line for 8 friggin hours and still was only able to get the core system. oh well, better than nothing i guess. i got pgr 3 and nfs: most wanted. nfs is sweet but i wasnt all that impressed with pgr. i wonder how long it will take for someone to mod this thing?

It is more powerful than most PC's(or all not sure). But the true power of it won't be discovered in a good game until like 6 months after it's release.

Sorry if this sounds fan boyish I like all the companys. I have all three

A PC can go to limits, NO game system can get though.

Cowsgoquack101, thats not fanboyish. Many earlier games dont look as good as later games because game developers havent figured out the system out completely. Take the Saturn, its second CPU was not used in many games, but once the developers could use it it made for a faster game.

Same goes for all the new consoles. The ATI graphics the the 360 and Revolution are going to be using are different from those on standard computer desktops so they have to learn that. And the PS3 well its using a whole new CPU and graphics set, any developer will have to start from scratch like they did migrating from the PS to the PS2.

i feel bad for the people that this happened to, wait for hours and you end up with the core set

I once waited in line for my PSP...for like 2 minutes. I preordered mine, just went, showed ID and receipt, good to go, until some dude was following me then I high tailed it.

I played a threesixty tonight, graphics were AMAZING but i couldnt imagine spending 400 on it

i also played the 360 just recently and i thought the graphics really were not so great

they are still using dvd disc format right?
doesnt this limit them a little
the controllor did feel pretty nice though
