"Auxilary power"? :? Wha? Why? Coin batteries are very expensive for portables. (Remember you're trying to run stuff that was designed to be plugged into the wall off of batteries.)

If you want small size, use some NiMh rechargeable AAAs. Most decent ones hold about 1000 mAh, at least 5 times as much as expensive coin batteries. What screen are you going to use? If your aim is very small size, then get a dedicated LCD screen from AEI Components. www.aeicomp.com They're expensive, but they're pretty small and they sip power if you get the LED versions. (Price shouldn't be to big of an issue if you planned on paying $10 for every hour of gameplay with those other batteries.)

Size isn't a real point, and i'd like it to be cheap, but i didn't know watch batteries were that expensive.
THough i will go with the AAA's that sounds good. And maybe i'll keep it famicom only to make sure it's easy enough for a first homeade portable, and buy imported super mario 1

just so u know by opened i mean unscrewed every screw i could find in the hole fricken system, which I didn't say made me the expert. and I was joking at the part where i said an hour of battery life was good, and compared it to a psp's battery life.

If any one of you happen to open a saturn you will quickly realise why removing all those screws is significant.
