has anybody noticed
Has any body noticed how much the Dreamcast controller and the XBOX controller look alike aside from the b/w and the second control stick they look identical.
or how in the cart pin-out for NES some of them dont do anything.
how the Little black box on planes are indestructible but they dont make cars out of that metal.
Air Planes are suposed to be safe but the Main building of an airport is called a Terminal.
How some cars are snap together
how In the administraton of Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. the Economy went down.
any thing else i missed.

Dont for get that really the dreamcast wasnt too far off from being a computer, all it lacked was a hard drive. A for the comparision, yes the Xbox probibly is Microsoft's 128bit version of the Dreamcast. The biggest difference is that well Microsoft could have made a console as good they stopped to building it cheap with computer componites instead of building a custom machine.

And.... the graphic as advaced as they were they came out rather blocky (think N64). Thats quite a difference. I really dont care that I make a little mistake like that anyways.

You were told wrong, and if you thought sega was owned by MS, then apparently you don't know a lot about that stuff.JackFrost22 wrote:Thats what I was told. Myh dad worked on the Xbox chips. And the ps3 and Ng5 or whatever. I know a lot about that stuff. That snigbit of information could have ben inacurrate thogh.
Still doesn't make them the same. Dreamcast = windows ce, xbox = windows 2000. Dreamcast = 56k modem, xbox = LAN adaptor. Almost every console uses some form of copy protection. But the Dreamcast will still read burnt games fine without a mod chip.well, the OS's for both were based on windows kernals, and they both came with a way to connect to the net....
and they both use a special encoding on the discs for copy protection.....
All game consoles technically are computers. The Xbox is not 128 bit, it is 32 bit.Dont for get that really the dreamcast wasnt too far off from being a computer, all it lacked was a hard drive. The Dreamcast was not 128 bit, it was 64 bit.The Dreamcast was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 128bit
That was a rumor, one that turned out not to be true.I was pretty sure that Microsoft bought out sega i'll edit this post if i can find out.

Apparently you don't know your technical facts either. The Xbox uses an intel celeron processor. The intel celeron processor is 32 bit. Therefore, the xbox is a 32 bit console. The Dreamcast uses a Hitachi SH-4 processor. The Hitachi SH-4 processor is 64 bit. Therefore the Dreamcast is a 64 bit console. "Bits" really don't mean anything anymore.
Calling the XBOX a Dreamcast 2 is a HUGE stretch. Just because some (less than half) of Dreamcast's games used a special version of Windows CE doesn't mean that it was very similar to a PC, which is basically what the XBOX is.
Many people mistakingly say that Dreamcast's OS was Windows CE. This is usually asumed due to the Windows CE logo on the front. If you look closely, it reads "Compatible with Microsoft Windows CE". The Dreamcast machine itself contained no version of Windows whatsoever. Developers had a couple options when it came to making a Dreamcast game. They either used the Sega development suite, called Katana, or they used the Windows CE based libraries by Microsoft, which would be completely on the game disc itself.
It's like calling a Gameboy Advance like a PC because someone was crazy enough to port Linux to it.

Unless it is very recent news, I also don't think that Microsoft bought Sega. Otherwise I don't think you'd continue to see Sonic games developed for Nintendo hardware.
