I feel your pain.rvers wrote: ....and struggling with a 56k modem....
This really isn't the site to look for rom coding. We're more into the hardware hacking if you didn't notice
if you simply google SNES Homebrew or SNES Dev, you will find lots of info.

If you want to hack commercial games, tough excrement, we don't do that. In fact discussing commercial game dumps is against the forum rules (which I suggest you read) and there are consequences.
If you want to do 100% homebrew, again tough excrement. In order to code games for consoles, you have to write in assembley language, the grunts and groans of the CPU. You can't just type BASIC, like this:
Code: Select all
10 print "MY GAME R the ROXZ0RZ!!!1111"
20 print "By whatzitzname"
30 tell Mario "walk left"What I suggest you do is:
1. Read the rules again
2. Post in English like a human being
3. Read the rules a third time
4. Use Google to gather information
Seriously.

You'll have three options on how to open the case. Use a screw driver (the real thing or a modifided one), use a grider (Ben's technque), and the old melted ballpoint pen trick. Now the screws can be found online (ebay), the process of grinding is shown in Ben's SNES making of story and the book, and the melted ballpoint pen (forum search).
After you get the case off its up to you how to process in making it portable.

Here is another method that I will dub the Marshallh method because I think he pioneered it just read this thing and you will see how it works http://gamesoft.dyndns.org/64p/index.asp And here is a link to my short SNES-how-to guide that has a list of parts and links for stores to buy them http://portablesofdoom.org/snes.php The pics are of a SNES mini but a regular SNES or Super Famicom are pretty much the same just bigger. Hope that helps.

The only one who said that you didn't make sense was Bic, and that had nothing to do with you being Australian. He said that because you didn't use any capitals, and very little proper grammer. Please, if you're going to post, don't treat the forum like it's AIM, type like you'd write a cover letter or letter to a grandparent.rvers wrote:as for the fact fiends, sorry you couldnt understand me, australian is very different to english

how is austrailian different from english (other than the fact there is no such thing as "austrialian" language), people in austrailia (not all tourists mind you) speak english or austrailian english, which is basically the same as england english but with some different turns of phrase and stuff. thats no excuse for bad typing, i speak fluent iowan

I speak a pretty good Connecticut. (My dad said Connecticut people speak the best English in the US, ghetto-ebonics kids and out-of-state people exempt.)
