I got all four pulled at once too...it went pretty easy for me. I don't even remember them giving me novacaine. Just laughing gas (it wasn't very funny, it made my nose sting :(), then I open my eyes to someone telling me that they're done. Was sore for the rest of the day, and the next, then pretty much ok. Couldn't eat hard/crunchy stuff for about a week though.

Anyways, have fun :P.

 Ouch. :(

I've always had trouble losing teeth in general, not just having teth pulled. The permanent tooth always grew up inside the baby tooth no matter what I did, making (after a while) a thin shell on top of a marrow-y center with another tooth inside. I remember once hearing a large CRUNCH sound, it was the baby tooth shell breaking. Ouchies. it bled a lot and I had to rush to the dentist. Not pleasent.

I remember once on one of the side molars, the same thing hapened but there was no center, it was just the baby tooth crown and the permanent tooth. I woke up in the middle of the night with pieces of tooth in my mouth. Man was that ever creepy! And a piece didn't get loose, and the permanent tooth grew up and locked the fragment in place, so I had ot have that tiny piece removed.

Long story short, I don't think I lost a single baby molar easily.

As far as wisdom teeth go, good luck! You'll be sore for a while, and you won't be allowed to have hard foods until your gums heal, but it's worth it to not have to worry about them anymore.

It's not fun. Not at all. I'll keep you in my thoughts, you poor bastard, you.

Pain, bleeding, vomit, starving, dizziness, headaches, and pain. And I've had three other surguries. One with that stupid tube shoved down my throught because I had eaten within 24 hours of the procedure...

I don't think this is making him feel better. I had a bad fracture on my molar. All they did was put 'passive gas' on me. It's like laughing but I freeze in one spot literally, I was unconcious to say at least. They put some pain-relieving gel on it, and in 4 hours, after ripping apart my gums (WHICH DID NOT HURT) I awoke finding a bandaged mouth. There was a hole for a straw though. :) Mashed potatoes with corn blended tastes like chicken. :P

All I did was drink milkshakes (not with a straw, and they will tell you not to use straws), and I was ok. I kept my teeth for keychains. One of them has four roots.

Lol, my straw was more of a mechanized pumped tube to gently shoot liquidated food into/down my throat. Since it's slush, and I can swallow, it was rather good. :)

That...is a GREAT idea. I wish the "tooth fairy" hadn't taken all mine when I was a kid. Actually, come to think of it, she might still have them somewhere.

My dentist says that my wisdom teeth are coming in fine. He says I probably won't need them pulled (thank God), but it might change (NOOOOOOOOO!).

Anyways, so much for me making you feel better about it. Still, good luck. Hope all goes well.

PAIN! I SAY! PAAAAAIIIIN!

Feel better now, Tri?

It's actually not that bad. The symptoms lasted only a day for me, and I got out of school for 2 weeks (that was back when that was a good thing for me to do)...

I have come to realize that I frustrated my dentist quite a bit when I went in to have my wisdom teeth removed. They tried putting me out, but after the seventh shot they just gave up and fired me up with local anesthetics- I was conscious through the entire thing, but I was dazed to the point of senselessness- and talk about EXTREME TUNNEL VISION!

Anyway, I remember the doc asking me how I was doing, and I'd give a thumbs up- cause I didn't really understand what he was saying :P

Strangely enough, I conked out just AFTER the whole procedure was done. I awoke three hours later, at home.

It really isn't bad at all- especially if they drug you up real good :) At that point, you just feel some pressure and then a tiny jerk, a few times.

I have extremely strong gums, so any time a new tooth tries coming through, it doesn't break through, so I spend about a month in complete pain. Luckily, all my teeth have come through. The most pain I've had though, was a few years ago, when I got 4 cavities at once, because some pills were eating through my teeth. During my appointment to have them filled, the dentest forgot to freeze my mouth, so I had a drill in my mouth for an hour without while completely conscious, and without drugs. Believe me, that is pain.
