N64p mod idea.......

Post by Gamelver »

today I was thinking about how I could make N64ps really easy and quickly using the N64 case and then just adding a screen, batteries, and a controller without ever having to open up the N64 (which I hate doing, btw....) and I came up with a pretty cool idea. I was thinking of having something slide into the top of the N64 which contains the screen, controls and batteries. All you have to do is slide it into the N64 and you have a portable! It's just an idea, for now, but maybe sometime I might really get into this project.
Image Here's a picture I drew of what I was thinking about doing. I drew it REALLY quick...

anyway, tell me what you guys think about it, and maybe someday I'll work on it. like I said before just an idea for now.

Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Its not a bad idea (though I'd say fix the pic). so for the most part you tare the a/v cable apart, ac adapter, and connect the screen the the two connections. Not bad if you do, do the project keep up updated.

Yeah but G-Forces case mod was prehaps the best I've ever seen. This is more like adding a module to the back and front to make it portable (and a no brainer).

yeah this is more like something that anyone could use, just plug it into the N64 and you've got an N64p!! I was thinking about maybe selling them, 'cause I think it'd be easier to build this than the whole N64p...

I thought of doing this a while back and the problem was if i put the controlls on top it was too thick, and if i put them on the sides it was huge!
So I guess it could be done it would just be a pretty big portable. It would almost certainly have to be vaccum formed to fit the 64 case.

Thanks, I think its the best too.
