Wow, both of them are incredible (Segasonicfan's and Elixir's). I would never have the skill to do something like that. Keep up the good work! Oh, and topic-maker...good luck!

I also have a functional PS2p. it aint pretty, but I went for Segasonicfan's style... realy right now, it's in several pieces, (havent really put much into redesigning the case) the batery i havent hacked yet, and it attaches with a cord, as does the controler, and the ps1 screen and slimline are mostly put together. but the big thing is IT IS PORTABLE !!! i'll try to get some pics of itto share. (my first portable!!! WOOT :D ) I found that it really isnt all that hard to do :shock: . just take your time when doing something, DONT rush, especially when soldering. and keep a desoldering iron hot and ready to go nearby :)
Why make a portable? Because I want to be able to game cordless.

and here's my PS2p !!

One thing I've seen on a few of the designs no only for this system but other cd/dvd based consoles, is how they don't have a top and the cd/dvd is held in place by the middle piece. Where can I get one of those thing-ies?

:::EDIT:::
Nevermind, found it! Cd Spindle HUB!
