with this in mind i asked also if he had any N5s (nintendos next console) but the price was to high.. after paying the fellow an undesclosed amount of money through my creditcard he told me he would through in the origanal beta that sigaro miyamoto him self created by hand a year ago to fight off a hungry bear, and after 6 weeks of waiting it finaly arived!
two hand helds in prefict condition!
the origanal DS and the prerelease release model

after further examination i had realised that nintendo was the perfict video game company ever and there revolutionary system was the system to beat!
at first look the Prerelease DS is quite impressave. It has second player controls dual tone colors and a tuch screen (witch i couldnt use since i only had DS games with out tuch screen capablity) the stylis was infact my favrout part it was pointy and sharp and made a cool screen afect that stayed on even after the power was turned off, witch contrary to what nintendo says the stylus works on bouth screens

the game i had was astroids DS witch included a map/side scroller on the second screeen i was vary intrested in the top down shooter with a side scroller mixed in to it. I in fact had truble with the side scroller part, i think the cart i got was a bad beta because the points i scored on the bottom screen did nothing on the top and the map didnt show where the ship was in relation to the top screen. i could tell this game needed improving and was not going to be out at release with the DS. another problem with this design was the carts where almost imposable to remove but luckly the stylus was the best thing to use to pry the game and memory carts out with

now on to the release model!
on first glance its prity unique, including the changes from the old model to the new

as you may notice they hhave removed the second player controls and have added 4 solder buttons two on the corners and two more on the back. i was stuned to find an internal mono and an exturnal mono speaker, what this acomplishes ive not yet found out.. but no doubt some game will come and take addvantage of this tool.

the tuch screen on this model is deinatly improved.. but only backlited on the top screen i spent a lot of time straning to read maps and menus on the second screen and could not even get past the start page in mario cart DS (witch for as far as i know had some thing i needed to do on the bottom screen even though it keept telling me to press start.

but all in all the release model is a far supior system than the origanal DS, it even uses internal carts! but is still compatable with GAme boy advance games but this DS's bottom screen would still not let me pass there intracated built in menu system...

over all the DS is still better than the PSP I played last week

untill next week! Cennar-
