The sad part is, despite our genius ideas and creative suggestions, Nintendo will do whatever the hell it wants to, regardless of what we say. I've seen it happen a dozen times. And I've seen most of them flop too.
Glad we can agree.

On a similar note, I hope the GBM only sells half a million or something low to teach NIntendo we don't want crappy remakes anymore.

Oh, and Super Princess Peach is traditional 2D- one of the reasons I'm looking foward to it.

I do have to say that if the Nintendo Revolution is a cool as it looks and sounds I willprobably buy one. Especially if it is as reasonably as most Nintendo systems in the past, I think not having a hard drive will keep the price down too.

http://www.nintendo.com/newsarticle?art ... e=newsmain

Especially if the N64, SNES, and NES games that you can download for it are resonably priced. With it being the side of three DVD cases it already has me thinking portable.

Could this: "Nintendo announced that new franchise properties will be added to current super-star franchises including Mario, Zelda, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong and Metroid." be referring to the rumors of Nintendo purchasing Sonic and friends?????

Hopefully this will be as good as it sounds.

Interesting article in the newspaper today about the GBM. NOT favorable.

"Tiny techy Game Boy has little appeal at $99
By Matt Slagle

Nintendo Co.'s new Game Boy Micro hand-held could have been so much more than a tiny hunk of plastic that plays video games

Less than a year after the innovative Nintendo DS arrived with dual screens, a microphone and wireless multiplayer capacity ( I like how he leaves out the touch screen  ), the company is set to release the diminutive Micro on Spet. 19.

But I'm still searching for a compelling reason to spend $99 on this machine, the smallest I've ever used, when Nintendo itself already offers better products for not much more money.

Is it for tech-savy fashionistas who can't afford Sony Corp.'s sleef but pricey PlayStation Portable? Collectors who insist on owning every flavor of Game Boy ever made (not bloody likely! :P )

Perhaps grown-ups who think they'll somehow look more professional playing "Astro Boy" on a Micro.

Well, that last one is at least plausible. But if you wanted to really grab that market, why not integrate cekk phone functionality, wireless connectivity (duh :? ) for mulitplayer gameing (not these new crap links) or even a digital audio player?

As it stands, the Micro is nothing more than a redesigned Game Boy Advance SP reduced to a palm-sized rectangle akin in dimensions to a candy bar or cell phone.

The Nintendo faithful (Hey! That's us! :D ) already have a pretty small system in the GBASP - and it costs $20 less. Like wise, for $50 more (soon to be $30 ~spongey) than a Micro, you can buy a snazzy DS (snazzy? :P ) and play new interactive games exclusivly for that system, as well as Game Boy Advance games."

Kinda put it all in a nutshell, didn't he?

Someone had to, didnt they.

Nintedo almost looks like its grasping for straws with the new Micro. Can they really be making a small enough profit to think a new GBA could boost it? Its times like this that make me glad I'm not a fan boy of any system or company, that way I can avoid trying to defend them when they make stupid decisions.

wow, a story by somebody who has never even touched it.

which is where our problem comes in...
The only people who've touched it were pretty much nintendo fans already. and everybody else is writing about it with no more information than we have. We'll never see an objective review until launch day...and even then...

I want it to look and feel good. I want it to finally replace my trusty orig GBA (SP and DS feel cheap), but if it doesn't, something's going back to the store pretty quickly. (I already fear the buttons are going to be too small)

just another BTW, Rebelstar is due out on GBA today!

I agree. I'll buy it because the GBA SP cuts into your hands, the DS has tiny buttons and the L/R buttons are unreachable (and the Famicom face plate!).

According to IGN, the L/R buttons are awkward since they're inside the handheld. Well not inside, but level with the case. Also, they've said that the buttons are slightly oversized, so I won't worry about the button size.

i admit that i am no fan of the "gba". However, nintendo is a lot better then that damn xbox

xbox advertises that it can play dvds, yet you have to buy a kit to do it. Xbox charges for xbox live when it should be free, like most internet based game things. Xbox is the most expensive console, yet it doesnt even come with any games. However, nintendo is amazong

Nintendo is the sole reason video gaming is alive today. It is the reason xbox even exist, and i still like it. Nintendo, opposed to most systems, still finds joy in making newer styles of games how they are played. They have reasonably good graphics but games far superior to xbox or ps2.

to say that you dont like nintendo because of one lousy marketing technique is shear madness. Xbox made a ton.
im not a perfect person, its just the fact that everyone else sucks so bad
