I don't heart Nintendo

The problem with that is that if a parent (which by now, I refer to the average parent to be a moron) buys the kids the new T rated Starfox game thinking "Starfox? I know Starfox! Kid's game!" only to find the kid playing some hoochie-momma game and gettin' a spunkity attitude. Damn, what's the worl' gonna come to?
My point? Parents and video games do not mix well. Think about it:
When you have kids going violent, and everyone blames VGs, whose fault is it then? The parent should not have allowed the kid to play the VG or worse not have boughten the damn thing!
When a child does something wrong, it is the parent's fault, and JT's slogan "Don't Blame the Parents" is a crock of crap.

I've posted this before, and I will again. I dont see why a game needs realistic blood sprays and naked women to be playable. If you want the former, kill someone, if you want the latter, dont play video games so much.

I'm not saying that, hell I'd rather play Super Mario Sunshine than GTA, I'm just saying Nintendo has some franchises that should be made to have T content. I'm just kinda tired seeing Nintendo have bright and happy games where nothing goes wrongsoundwave wrote:I've posted this before, and I will again. This is true. The DS is more of an experiment for Nintendo it is not intended to be a Gameboy in anyway. They wanted to create a unique experience for gamers (sounds like a Virtual Boy sales pitch).Second, it has been said many, many times by Nintendo that the DS is anoher handheld that goes side-by-side with the GBA, NOT A SUCCESOR!
I can... Mario Party. I don't own a GameCube but I would really like to play the Baseball game. They should also do a football game, and a hockey game, and well just do every sport and topple EA.Now I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I think some series..es.. should be stopped and have new ones take it's place.
And I'm not sure where everyone is getting this information that Sony is losing money on their consoles, but I'm pretty sure they are not. I know that Microsoft is, but Sony creates their own parts for their consoles. That is why they were able to beat out Sega's Dreamcast (Sega had to buy expensive parts to build the DC, so they believed that if they sold their product at a loss everyone would buy it and generate huge profits for Sega...you can tell their plan didn't work very well). It is also why they make more profit than Microsoft (in consoles), because Microsoft sells consoles at a loss (like Sega), but such a large company can afford to lose a few hundred million.
Mario Party has has had way too many versions. But a DS game would be pretty cool, I think.

and mario golf (GBA)--there's a great game! I don't know how that idea got out of the planning phases, though.Lucretius wrote:Precisely. Also, don't encourage them to put out a Mario Sport game...they'll simply do another Mario Tennis...
Japanese boardroom: "we do golf RPG--put Mario in too!"
that'd never fly at a sony meeting...

Brian over at Kotaku got a Micro earlier today, and he loves it. It seems Nintendo still knows what they're doing.

everybody says the GBM screen is small, but has anybody said anything bad about it? I haven't heard anything aside from how colorful and sharp it is. It's not for everybody--but it's for me. Even if $30 more gets me a dualscreen...
GBM is bold, simple and stylish. If anything was a mistake it was trying to support a niche handheld instead of putting out all their titles in support of the main one. I understand if they were going to replace GBA, but that doesn't seem to be the case yet.
