I'm not too fond of IPB. I don't know why, I just don't like it all that much. To me phpbb feels more "finished", if you know what I mean.

However there are several security mods on phpbb.com that Ben should install if he gets a chance. *hint hint* ;)

The virus is still on the front page

It gets onto your pc via an iframe known as

http://globolook.com/v427/wow.html

so I suggest you download firefox, adblock, and add this to the adblock list before you get to the front page.

I reformated my PC and I'm now on my mac.

I suggest we all chip in and get vbulletin.

best. forum.software. ever.

I dunno, I prefer phpBB for its flexibility and the lack of cost and junk. Plus, porting all of the forum to vBulletin would take many hours and many people. On top of that, we are all adjusted and set into what we already have.

There are programs to port users and post counts, join dates and stuff.

Then we save the old board as an archive.

Higher security and if all of us plus others are willing to chip in 5 or 10 dollars we could have vbulletin in no time.

Problem is, most of us are *ahem* happy with phpBB and aren't interested in spending money to upgrade unnecessary stuff.

I talked with Ben earlier, and he may have me update phpBB regularly, so let's give that a whirl :)

But most of us run windows and use IE and would like to go to a trusted site.

For about 90 bucks we could have a more secure system.

I would donate at least ten dollars and I am sure others would too.

We have about 15 regulars and all of which would donate with permission from their parents.

I posted the link from the iframe a couple of posts up.

Seems like just a spy-ware site with some meaningless trojan.

If you firefox, opera, or anything besides windows OS than you should be fine.
