I feel that I would be willing to allow the risk of slight embarassment on an online forum in exchange for transparency in the decision making process. Not to mention the fact that no matter how ridiculous and incoherent a spammer may be, they deserve the chance to plead their case before a bunch of mods decide he/she needs to be banned.
As far as choosing new mods, I'm afraid that the mini-mod thread itself proves that we don't need a private forum for discussing such matters. Someone gave their suggestions of who should be mods, there was discussion, the suggestions were tweaked and voila! there were mini-mods.

I like the Nintendo forums. If you've just registered, for the first 3 days, you can only post in the "noobies" forum section. Then you are allowed to post in all the other sections. I like it because it cuts down on people who register just to annoy and spam.

People who have been on longer than the 3 days, im pretty shure, CAN post in the other forum, for answering questions, or telling them not to spam so much.

You know what if people dont like something then they dont have to be here. Posting a million threads and asking questions that are simple ones only annoy people. I'll say this, the only reason I've been able to avoid all the newbie mistakes are becuase I was at a forum and know how it works.

I believe if a kid is worthy of being banned, he deserved the harsh and unforgiving embarassment of public discussion. Plus I like to flame them, a lot.

Wait, can I be taking off the list. Nobody but Soundwave (who kinda constantly criticizes me :) , no offense) has complained. But VB even complimented me.

And no...FDS is doing waaaaay better than you, but he's still there.

It's not about what you're doing now. This is a list of forewarning, that there are people who have been marked as rulebrakers, and we would like to keep a public record of that. Don't like it? Should have thought of that BEFORE you acted like an idiot..
