Has anyone played around with a JuiceBox before?

I was wondering if there was any pinouts or info on its screen.

Anyways, the screen is total CRAP. It's small, and has bad resolution, and its not even TFT active matrix. YOU NEED, the Juice box disk. How suckish. Buy a PSP, but don't use it as a screen.

I have the distro

I am going to make my own linux so I can run my own video.

Sadly is realy is no scene for these things.

I was running a channel on IRC #uclinux & #juicebox
but I can't run it atm.

I have a lot of info on them, just wonderd if anyone used the screen....I know someone made a Picture Frame thing with one.

anyways...back to work on the Mac OS X for xbox

There are sites that tell you a bit of info about the Mattell Juice Box, but there really isnt anything usefull you can do unless you rewrite the OS. You can use it to play MP3s (in only 2 types of bitrates and i dont think it does ID3 Tags) and a Jpeg viewer. You can make it accept SD cards, but you cant play movie files from it yet. Only JPEG and MP3s. Also, from what i hear, the juicebox framerate is kinda crappy. I have heard a lot of complaints about it. It does have a serial port or 2 attached to it, if you an solder leads from the COMM chip. The only real extra features you can add at the moment is a serial terminal.... eveyrhtng else (video, pics and music) is allready provided by the Juicebox itself.

The Juicebox sub-forum as www.linux-hacker.net is keeping fairly busy these days, there's a link on there for a wiki site dealing with the JB. There's no easy way to use the screen in something without a compatable controller.

I have three of the things to play around with. I haven't really played with them much since started my portable PC project.
