Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I am going to make one
I will buy a old arcade unit about $75-$200 Unless you get a 4 player box then it will cost a little more.
I am going to leave the coin box intact because I will wire it up to give credits. I will cut a away a small window on the side of the unit and insert a plexi glass window. Then I am going to mount a light socket inside and use a Red light bulb. I will make a shelf to hold the brain (XBOX!!!) wich looks like this photo only has a glowing red jewel and red leds.

Remember this will be sitting in the plexiglass window
Now mame uses the select button on the controller to add credits, so I will wire it up to the coin slot and the controllers to the arcade buttons/stick.
I will also be doing something to the unit....like painting it depending on its model & condition.
I already have drawn up some sketchs for building one, but If I can find a used one for a good price I'll just buy it.
Anyways the XBOX makes a great Brain because so many systems are emulated on it.
Now I may use the screen it comes with or I might add a new one, but I was thinking a 19" TFT LCD would look kinda nice
I am going to do this in the next few months and will post pix when its complete and as I go along too I guess.
"EDIT: If its a 2 player unit I will make extender cables for the port 3 & 4 Controllers so that you can use a standard xbox controller for those. If I can I will have all of them using this option
"

It was just a laptop with a bunch of emulators on it.
That's actually what my future console will be, but my old craptop has s-video out.
I just have to figure out why it locks up after using it for a while... I think it has to do with heat or something, because the underside gets quite warm and the fan stops working.
Maybe if I ran it off of a bootable CD with the hard drive removed? Or maybe I have to flash the BIOS? Hmm... [/ramble]
