2. i've seen how somwehere but can't remember where, it looked really hard and you might not want a HD in a portable
4. psone screens are the best you can get for a cheap price (especially if you get a non-working one and fix it)
6. i've heard it has much less bugs than the original fat kind, you shouldn't be too concerned

2. See http://www.hackaday.com for the hard drive mod, just as *o* said
3. I would use a 2.5" or 1.8" hard drive because they are small. If you need something smaller, I sugges a 4GB microdrive (the MP3 player version is cheaper and will work for this mod) if you are only interested in storing game data, but you should go for a good 30GB (1.8") or 80GB (2.5") if you want to play FF XI or store games on it. Anything from this page should suffice. You will need an adapter to connect either to a PSTwo if you can't deduce the pinouts from the adapter.
4. http://www.aeicomp.com/Detail.asp?Produ ... 510_LCD7XL This is a good screen for a low price (7" is good for this price, compared to the cost of the rest of the screens on this page, which are over $500 for 6-9")
5. I know it takes 8.5v, I don't know the mA requirements though.

I also suggest a CNC cut case is made of matte polycarbonate or acrylic so the case resembles the original case. Alternate the pieces wide and narrow to get the look of the case.

The real draw is the rom drive and what speed it is reading at i believe it can get up around 2.5-2.7 though that usually isnt for long I believe it actually fluctuates lots durring gameplay *shrug*
