But there was no death in Transformers, so Optimus might get injured, but would shake it off. Aside from that, he has the matrix, which can do a hell of a lot more than a transmutation circle can do.

For some reason, the explosion freezes at absolute zero. Like when you spit in Antartica and it freezes before it hits the ground.
