The official electronics part name for a cartridge connector is a "card edge connector" and they have a good supply at Digikey. This one seems like the right one for a Genesis (check the datasheets though) but it is about $14 too. See what you think about it.

Yea, game genies are a great source. You can find them relatively easy if you go to a flea market. If you do use one, make sure you unassemble it correctly, unscrew all screws and the ONE UNDERNEATH the sticker. I didn't know there was one and I was prying the cartridge out of the case with one screw still intact.
