An interresting mathematical formula

Let's say your random number is X. I outlined the following steps using X.

X
2X
2X+5
100X+250
100X+2005 (2004 if you haven't had your birthday yet)

2005-(year you were born) = your age, right? (2004 if you haven't had your birthday yet)

So now we have

100X + Your age
Or
Xyourage, where X is your random number and your age follows.
Note: This isn't X times your age, it's like X17 if you are 17 years old.

It can easily be tweaked to work for other years also. If it was year 2006, you'd just add 1755 or 1756.

Of course it is just a simple formula, but it's still interresting.

BTW, I already pointed out that to use this next year, "you need to use 1756/1755 for step 5".

yup, although not surprising at all that it works. I've seen better equations than this.
