An interresting mathematical formula
I'm sorry, but I got this in an email, and just had to share it.
1. First of all, pick a number between 1 and 10(more than 1 but less than 10).
2. Multiply this number by 2.
3. Add 5.
4. Multiply by 50.
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755. If not, add 1754.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number.
The first digit of this was your original number(between 1 and 10). The next two numbers are your age!
Cool, isn't it! This only works for 2005.

I don't see why everybody's so amazed with this. It can be proven that this works for all numbers
Let's say your random number is X. I outlined the following steps using X.
X
2X
2X+5
100X+250
100X+2005 (2004 if you haven't had your birthday yet)
2005-(year you were born) = your age, right? (2004 if you haven't had your birthday yet)
So now we have
100X + Your age
Or
Xyourage, where X is your random number and your age follows.
Note: This isn't X times your age, it's like X17 if you are 17 years old.
It can easily be tweaked to work for other years also. If it was year 2006, you'd just add 1755 or 1756.
